Quarter Midget Belt-Drive Systems
Pulleys are machined from 6061 aluminum and have a black hard-coat finish. They are extremely
lightweight and wear-resistant. There are 4 engine pulleys and 13 axle pulleys to choose from; see gearing
chart for available ratios. Engine pulleys are designed to fit a standard 3-bolt engine hub and axle pulleys are
designed to fit a standard 4-bolt axle drive hub. It is recommended that the axle pulley be bolted directly to the axle hub.
Systems offer several advantages over common chain drives: Belt drives are lighter and can save up to 3 pounds of rotating weight.
Belt drives are very reliable and forgiving. They are more apt to stay on under contact for fewer DNF. Systems are much cleaner and require almost zero maintenance compared to chain drives.
