How do I Sign In and Out of Compass?

Overview

Signing in to Compass is like opening a secured page on the Internet. You click the link on the
Compass Web page to open the site. When the site opens, you type in your user ID and
password to access the secured areas.

For security purposes, the system logs you out of Compass after 30 minutes of inactivity. Two
minutes prior to your session timeout, the system provides a warning that your browser session
is about to expire.

Any unsaved data will be lost. If you saved your data before the session times out, you will not
lose anything

Navigation

• Navigate to the Compass home page at the following address:
http://www.compass.emory.edu

• Click the Compass Login link. compass-login.emory.edu

The Compass Sign on page displays.

1. Enter your User ID and Password into the text boxes on the screen.
Your username and password are case sensitive
For confidentiality, the password displays on screen as a series of dots.
2. Click the Sign in button.
