How do I Use Operators, Wildcards and the Find Feature?
Overview
This topic discusses three features in Compass that help you search for data.
Operators allow you to search on limited amounts of information, such as first letters for a customer,
company, or state name.
A wild card is a special symbol that stands for one or more characters.
The Find feature helps you easily find data when there are many rows of data to search through.
Operators
When conducting a search in Compass, you can narrow your search by using one of the
operators from the drop-down lists next to each search field.
Notice that most of the operators
on this page default to begins
with. This means the system will
only search for records that begin
with the criteria you enter in each
field.
