Correcting Suspense Items Using the CORRECT SUSPENSE ENTRIES Tool
Overview
The process described below is used to correct suspense transactions generated from a third-party interface
or a PeopleSoft process. For instructions on correcting suspense transactions generated from a PeopleSoft
module or from an expired grant, refer to How do I Correct Suspense Items Using an Online Journal Entry job
aid.
This process should only be used by third-party interface owners and Central Administration.
Navigation
General Ledger > Journals > Suspense Correction > Correct Suspense Entries
Correcting Items
1. Enter your Business Unit.
Your Business Unit defaults if it has been added
to your User Preferences. For instructions on
changing the default, refer to Defining User
1 Preferences.
Enter any additional information you have
available. Usually this will be your third-party
interface code, which you enter in the Source
field. For example, the Bookstore would enter
BOK. For a list of interface codes, refer to
Interfaces by Category.
2. Click the Search button.
2 A list of suspended journals displays based on the criteria
you entered.
3. Click the Journal ID for the journal
you want to correct.
The Journal Suspense Correction page displays the error
lines from the journal.
