How Does Ultraguard Work?
Ultraguard is a hi-tech, clean and efficient system for the prevention of biofouling on all types of vessels and craft anywhere in the world.
Ultraguard generates high powered ultrasonic pulses which it uses to resonate transducers attached to the vessel’s hull, seawater system or coolers.
The resonating transducers send vibrations across the protected surface. These vibrations disrupt the gripping forces that the larvae of biofouling species use to hold on to the vessel and its systems at a microscopic level. As the larvae can’t grip the protected surface, they can’t develop permanent bonds and they can’t mature and grow. Instead, they simply float away from the surface unharmed leaving the vessel free from fouling.
Designed, developed and manufactured in the Silicon Glen region of Scotland to be robust, reliable, simple to instal and easy to maintain. This means that have peace of mind and your vessel can operate biofouling free.
Biofouling Larvae are suspended in the water and attach to passing vessels,
Ultraguard uses ultrasonic pulses to resonate transducers.
The transducers are attached to the hull and cause a vibration that breaks the gripping force of the larvae.
The biofouling larvae can’t hold on to the hull and so the vessel remains clean.
