Phase II: Shade Structure
Phase II focuses on something simple
but incredibly important for Dallas —
shade.
Concrete surfaces in Texas summers
can reach extremely high
temperatures, which limits how long
people can safely use the park.
A large shade structure would
dramatically extend the usable hours
of the park, improve comfort for families
watching their kids skate, and allow the
space to host events, competitions,
and programs.
Our goal for Phase II is $300,000 to install
a permanent shade structure over key
portions of the skatepark.
