Brittanie Joyner's career path wasn't linear. Her diverse experience across various sectors hinted at a more profound desire – purpose. A recommendation from a former colleague led her to Brother Bill's Helping Hand (BBHH), and the Volunteer Manager role ignited a passion for service.
BBHH thrives on its human connections. Brittanie, a self-proclaimed people person, enjoys interacting with staff, volunteers, and those receiving assistance. Witnessing the impact on individuals facing challenges brings immense fulllment. This translates to a job she can't wait to get to, even with a long commute.
The volunteer community at BBHH is vibrant and diverse. Individuals and groups from churches, businesses, and even residents lend their skills. Here, strangers connect while making a positive difference, forging friendships along the way.
Growth has been a hallmark of Brittanie's time at BBHH. The number of volunteer sites has more than tripled, mirroring an increase in volunteers. Volunteers are treated with humility, dignity, excellence, and grace, fostering a welcoming environment. This focus and BBHH's contagious passion ensure volunteers feel valued, like family.
