A School that Understands
Schools across the province, and indeed around the world, continue to face issues associated with the global COVID 19 pandemic and the protocols in place to help prevent the spread of the virus in classrooms.
There is no easy answer that will completely prevent the spread of the virus while at the same time allowing children to learn, parents to work and the economy to open. Unfortunately, some students will fair better than others under these new school protocols.
Under normal circumstances many students enrol at Robert Land Academy (RLA) looking for a school that understands the way boys learn and the issues many face in other schools. Boys struggling in school, either academically or behaviourally, come to RLA and find structure within a military theme that allows them to learn self-discipline, build character through genuine achievement, and succeed academically.
Most COVID 19 protocols work against the way boys learn, for example online learning will not motivate a boy who is easily distracted by video games or needs structure to guide him.
Robert Land Academy is a private boarding school, located on 168 acres in rural Niagara that provides a structured learning environment for boys in grades 5 through 12 that focuses on academics, physical health and personal growth.
COVID 19 protocols in place at RLA meet or exceed both Ministry of Education requirements and public health guidelines. With 100% of students boarding on campus RLA can continue to provide a comprehensive academic and physical program while practicing safe pandemic protocols.
As the province continues to see case numbers rising and many regions moving toward a lockdown many parents are likely concerned about their son’s education as well as the possible spread of the virus to their son and their family.
How Boys Learn
Robert Land Academy encourages parents to look into a private boarding school to address those concerns, specifically the program at RLA that is designed with the unique learning needs of boys in mind and that provides individualized support, extensive remediation, and a wide range of outdoor activities.
There is no need for boys to fall behind in their education, or worse be pushed forward without having completed the year’s work, because the current situation in most schools does not meet their academic needs or provide for physical outlets.
Robert Land Academy continues to be a location that is safe that provides a program that works.
RLA’s COVID 19 protocols, along with reports of cases, are available online at www.rla.ca.
"If ever there was a time to consider a private boarding school, it is now, and it should be RLA."
