ADHESIVE FASTENERS
New adhesive snaps from YKK allow for secure attachment without damaging your installation surface. No tools are required, no splits to worry about, no extra holes in your boat. Tested by marine canvas professionals as a high performing metal snap alternative that attaches to a surface with adhesive rather than screws. These adhesive snaps make installation a breeze, even for a novice DIY’er. Unlike traditional metal screw studs, these adhesive backed fasteners will not deteriorate in the typical marine environment. Plus the unique dome shape enables the fasteners to be walked on without causing pain.
The adhesive snaps secure to most boat surfaces with a pad of 3M VHB acrylic conformable foam adhesive tape on the underside of the domed plastic stud or socket that allows for the snap to adhere to boat surfaces without having to drill a hole in your boat.
Simply clean the application surface, peel off the protective paper backing, position the snap and firmly hold it in place. Adhesive snaps can be used wherever a conventional screw stud might be used.

This fastener has a unique locking feature which will withstand extreme pressure on three sides without unlocking, yet releases instantly on the fourth side when outer edge of cloth is lifted up.
