A private not-for-profit boarding school which has operated in Ontario’s Niagara Region for more than 40 years, Robert Land Academy employs a military theme to support a highly structured living and learning environment for boys in grades 5 through 12. Students attend from across Canada, the United States, and approximately 15 other nations. By addressing the needs of the whole boy and removing him from distracting or toxic environments, RLA can help him to build character through genuine achievement.
Robert Land Academy offers three distinct programs for its students.
Junior Program (grades 5-8)
•small classes with an approach that capitalizes on the student’s energy and curiosity through activity-based learning, allowing boys to express that energy rather than suppress it
•emphasis on social skills development and preparation for high school •academic upgrading and support
Intermediate Program (grades 9 & 10)
•high school transition program •small classes with an emphasis upon rewards for effort, and focus on the
maintenance or recovery of academic performance conducive to senior
school success •intensive remediation and individual tutoring •personal self-care and routine and social skills development
Senior Program (grades 11 & 12)
