Arthur is BMTCN(BMT certified nurse)& encourages others to engage in professional development. He fosters a safe learning environment & provided consistent and honest feedback. Through his patient & family advocacy he has taught others to think ahead about patient care needs. He instills the importance of being ever-present during team meetings. 2019 Pat Sullivan Passion for Nursing Excellence Award
LINDSAY D'ANGELO RN, NICU
Lindsay is a nurse who inspires you to want to be better, learn more & to challenge yourself as a clinician. Her practice embodies what it means to be a nurse & so many aspects of her practice demonstrate passion, positivity, & compassion. She is certified & completing her Masters in Nursing Education.
2019 Community Service Award
CLARE DALTON RN, NORTH 8
Her selfless acts benefit patients & family members who need care the most. One example, she led a campaign to have patients acknowledged upon completion of their chemotherapy with inspirational quotes & a strength charm. 2019 Leading in Nursing Award
JEAN D'ESPINOSA RN, PROGER 5 NORTH
Jean has fostered a thriving Unit Based Council which has successfully kept the CAUTI rate at zero for nearly 2 yrs. She worked collaboratively with the Neurology and Interdisciplinary team to successfully receive the recognition for Center of Stroke Excellence. She develops staff and is proud of their achievements.
2019 Commitment and Compassionate Care Team Award
LYNN MURPHY-COHEN RN, MARGE O'CONNOR RN, NP
MARILYN SHEA RN, PRIMARY CARE BOSTON
This team of 3 nurses truly went above & beyond, making an incredible statement for nursing. Their sense of compassion, empathy & support for the patients & staff was unmatched. Their care & constant thought for others, while going through an immense personal & professional loss, demonstrates true compassion.
2019 Ryan Compassionate Care Award
KATHRYN TRAINOR RN,NICU
Acts as a true advocate for her patients & their families, the favorite part of her job is being at the bedside as a primary nurse. Through therapeutic communication Kathy develops a trusting relationship with parents & engages them in the plan of care. She has created lifelong bonds with her patients & families
2019 Innovation in Nursing Award
KARA WHEELER RN, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY
Kara has taken on the world of innovation, working with the COE in creating a device. This has been a labor of love for her. Kara’s creativity & drive have really come to light. She embraces possibilities, is an optimist, is steadfast and joyful day to day.
2019 Excellence in Nursing Clinical Practice - Jaye Award
LAURIE BUTTS RN , PACEMAKER/ICD CLINIC
Laurie’s knowledge base runs deep & she has achieved international certification. She has a love of research & regularly participates in clinical trials & studies. Laurie works closely with colleagues on best practice protocols. She is an excellent teacher, team player & always promotes a positive influence .
MOLLY MCGARRY RN, PROGER 5 NORTH
Molly is a consistent patient advocate. She took an interest in CBI patient population, researching plans of care. She participates actively in the UBC & brings joy, collaborative approach & motivation to provide quality patient care. She has an ability to motivate staff & keep a calm environment. She is an outstanding nurse who looks for opportunities to improve both the level of patient satisfaction & staff morale.
