Alarge number of families in California de- pend on the schools their children attend for at least one complete meal, but with
schools closed in response to the coronavirus, this benefit has also been
suspended.
Fortunately, there are schools offering free meals for children across the state. The California Dairy Council, in collaboration with the California Board of Milk Processors and California State Senator Dr. Ri- chard Pan, created a website (https://www.health- yeating.org/Schools/School-Wellness / School-Fe- eding-Locations) where families can find a list of locations with free meals available,
provided through the school meal service.
