Don had a long career in Law Enforcement, beginning when he was hired by Sheriff Legislative
Ernie Shore in 1968. At the time he was already employed at Western Electric and was
doing ride-a-longs with another Forsyth County Sheriff Department officer. When Sheriff Report 27
Shore called and offered him the job, Don told the Sheriff that he would have to work out
