JANE BROWNLOW
Jane has been a member of the bas- ketball program since the 7th grade and also plays field hockey for the Hawks. Jane’s hard work in practices and tremendous attitude immediately made her a favorite among her team- mates and coaches. She is willing
to do anything to help the team and we all celebrated her making two three-pointers in a recent game!
MARY SCHLEUSNER-CAPTAIN
Mary is one of the best and most decorated athletes in Charlotte Latin’s history. Mary has played four varsity sports for the Hawks and made import- ant contributions in each one, including achieving All-Conference and All-State for four consecutive years in cross country, being recognized as All-Con- ference in basketball, and playing key roles on the varsity soccer and track teams. As a four-year varsity basketball player, Mary is truly the heartbeat of this year’s team - setting an example every day with her competitiveness and passion for the game. She leads the team in almost every major sta- tistical category and has recorded
two triple-doubles this season. Mary was named All-Tournament at the St. Pius Christmas Classic in Atlanta, was selected for the NCISAA Senior All-Star Game and earned All-State honors this year. Mary will continue her basketball career next year at Washington and Lee University.
MADDIE SHANNON-CAPTAIN
Maddie has been a member of the Latin girls’ basketball program since the 7th grade. She is a four-year member of the varsity team and a three-year starter
for the Hawks who serves as co-cap- tain this season. Maddie can always be counted on to do whatever the team needs to be successful. She has set career highs in scoring and rebounding this year, and her knowledge of the game and calm demeanor help her serve as a true leader on the court and in the locker room. Maddie earned 2nd Team All-Conference and was selected to play in the NCISAA Senior All-Star Game.
