EMMA GATRELL
This was Emma’s first season of varsity soccer after two years of great contributions to the JV team and a stellar 3-year performance with varsity field hockey. She is a complete athlete with pace and strength, which when combined with her competitiveness made her a force on the field. In our short time getting to play this year she was already making an impact with her strong, aggressive play and her quiet leadership style. She was contrib- uting greatly in the midfield both offensively and defensively.
BROOKE NORMAN-CAPTAIN
Brooke has been on the varsity team since her freshman year. She has played every position except keeper which shows what a solid and well-rounded player she is. She has great ball control, is an excel- lent short and long range passer,
a very good finisher, but best of all is her knowledge and feel for the game. Brooke was one of our most engaged leaders this off season and during the short time we had before the pandemic.
KENDALL SLAYTON-CAPTAIN
This is Kendall’s third year on the varsi- ty team. She is a midfielder who has a lot of flair to her game. Kendall is effec- tive on the ball, has speed and quick- ness, is a good tackler, and strong in the air. In 2019 she was off to a great start early in the year with 2 great goals and 2 assists but suffered a bad ankle injury that sidelined her. Kendall is also a varsity cheerleading captain and is a spirited supporter of Latin athletics.
SARAH WATSON-CAPTAIN
Sarah is a four-year varsity soccer member. She plays center mid-
field where she is a tireless force
all over the field. Her competitive spirit is infectious. Sarah has solid all-around skills, is unselfish, and one of the toughest players I have ever coached. She is willing to play with pain because of how badly she wants to help her team. This tough- ness made her a great leader by example. For her career she had 5 goals (including a beauty against PD last year) and 8 assists.
