  INTRAMURAL ULTIMATE
SENIORS
      JOHN LUKE FARAH-CAPTAIN
John Luke is the newest of the Senior players, playing only a couple of years of Ultimate but playing with enough skill to play with any college team. In January 2020, in an “apple” drill in practice, he threw a 70 yard hammer into a grade six wind. And it was completed! Despite the closure of the Spring 2020 Ultimate season, John Luke continues to train hard on the streets of Char- lotte. You ever see the movie Rocky (I’m talking about
the first one)? He’s a lot like Rocky in that one.
AUGUST HALDEMAN-CAPTAIN
August has been playing Ultimate since the Coastal Explorers trip his 4th grade year. Since then, like a nin- ja, he stealthily roams the Ultimate fields invisible to his unwary prey, makes the quick D, and melts back into the scenery. Against Country Day in March 2015, he did we what we call the crouching tiger/hidden dragon defense where he macked the disc to himself for a double score. Next year, we hear he plans to barnstorm around the U.S. in a minivan hustling pick up Ultimate.
ADAM MANUEL-CAPTAIN
Adam Manuel is the sec- ond gear of the triumvirate known as “Manuel Trans- mission.” Is he the best of the three Transmission Brothers? He could be. All I know is on Defense vs Weddington in 2019, he once chased down a huck from 60 yards away that left the thrower slack- jawed. Rumor says Adam will take a gap year from college next year to play professionally in Europe.
