Congratulations Seniors!
WILLIAM ATWELL
William is one of the more intelli- gent players I’ve ever coached. Each practice he was excited and eager to learn a new facet of the game that could help in his development. Add that to his great work ethic and he has really pushed himself to be the player he is today. William will continue to play baseball at Wofford College. He was a model stu- dent-athlete while at CLS, making the Head Master’s list each year
9th through 12th grade. His favorite sports memory at Latin was com- peting in the state playoffs last year as a junior against Metrolina Chris- tian. It was a great atmosphere and a really great game to be a part of that came down to the wire. William would like to pass on to the under- classmen to stick to the program the coaches have put in and you will get better each and every day.
BEN McCARTER
Ben brought energy, enthusiasm
and a sense of humor that made
him a joy to be around each day. His smile is infectious. He is also one of the best all-around athletes that I’ve ever had the pleasure to coach as
he excelled in baseball, soccer and football during his senior campaign. Ben plans to attend Clemson Uni- versity. The late night games under the lights are his favorite memory of Charlotte Latin athletics. Ben wants to let the underclassmen know that even after only four games he appre- ciates all the hard work that they put in this season.
CHARLES WATSON
Charles is the definition of a leader. He brings passion and competitive- ness to everything he does that play- ers around him just follow his lead. Whether playing football or baseball, he is a coach’s dream because he
is willing to take any role needed to help the team win. Charles will attend Furman University to play football. His favorite Latin sports memories are beating Providence Day in football this past fall and beating Greensboro Day on the diamond last season as a junior. Charles wants to pass on to the underclassmen that they have great coaches in this program so trust them and compete for everything you want on and off the field.
