This is Maddie’s first year on the varsity soccer team – and actually, her first year of soccer ever! With her athletic ability and basketball experience, she was able to learn the position incredibly quickly, and continues to develop and improve. Maddie has a competitive, but humble nature, and - most importantly - she is
a great person who has enhanced the culture of our program.
MARY SCHLEUSNER-CAPTAIN
Mary is a four-year varsity soccer player with great speed, endurance, strength, and skill. Her best attribute may be that she is fearless. Mary battles every minute of every match – just as she does on the cross-country course and the basketball court. She has scored eleven goals and made 14 assists for Latin. When the girls on our team are laughing, you know Mary is in the middle of it. She is a great lead-
CLAIRE ZIMMERMAN
Claire has been a part of the varsity program for 4 years. She has played both at outside back and central mid- field. Her experience and skills help her to navigate well defensively and offensively in the midfield. Claire also supported the Hawks as a member of the fall and winter cheerleading squads. She is a loyal and dedicated teammate who will be missed.
