GIRLS GOLF RECAP
VARSITY GOLF
The team expanded this year with the addition of a junior and two freshmen. Return- ing players Sarah Picciola and Margaret Ann Hidell led the team with their experience and were appreciative of the energy brought by their new teammates. Finding space to practice was a challenge this year with the popularity of golf and limited space, but the Hawks made the best of it, even practicing their chipping skills on campus when a course wasn’t available.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GOLF
A trio of Middle School golfers worked with Coach Griffin this fall to improve their game, even though they didn’t have other teams to play. The girls plan to continue working on their game in the off season and hope to be able to put their skills to the test against other GCMSAA schools next year!

MARGARET ANN HIDELL - CAPTAIN
Margaret Ann started her Latin golf career playing middle school golf. She changed sports in upper school but we were thrilled when she returned her junior year. She was coming off an injury and couldn’t play until late September, however Margaret Ann played well and helped the team qualify for 2019 states. 2020 was a tough year finding golf courses for practice due to Covid-19 but Margaret Ann finished off the year at Conference with her best score of the season. She is a long hitter especially off the tee (230-260 yds). She is a member of SALT. We are thankful for Margaret Ann’s smiles and the positive attitude.
