LETTER FROM THE BOOSTER CLUB PRESIDENT
Dear Hawk families and friends,
Welcome to our new digital sports magazine. This concept has been a consideration for some time. When life offers you an oppor- tunity to slow down and shift gears, it gives you the chance to make a change. We are excited to be able to broaden our distribu- tion, “go green” and be colorful. Thank you to our magazine team, our sponsors, and photographers who helped make this change possible. Please share it with friends and family. Senior athletes; we will provide a special printed keepsake at the end of the year.
Thanksgiving is around the corner, and our fall sports season is complete. A feeling of thanks and appreciation is undoubtedly the theme on campus. We are all thankful for in-person learning. We are incredibly grateful for an exciting and rewarding fall season. Thank you to our amazing Athletic Administration team for their countless planning hours to ensure a safe and successful season. How about these two State Championships? Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Tennis Team and the Varsity Girls Cross Country Team.
The Booster team has been busy in a similar fashion and in new ways too. We have been supporting the Administration Team with screening athletes, coaches, visiting teams, and officials. In addition, state championship signs were delivered, buttons were made, pennants and banners were hung, coordinated with team parents, spirit merchandise created, membership gift delivery, tickets sold, parents checked-in, and many photos were captured.
On behalf of the Booster Club board, thank you to the families who joined as members this year. It is not too late to join; the link is available on MyLatin under the Athletics tab. Your contribution helps us support our Booster efforts, needs for the athletic de- partment and the school. This spring, Patten Stadium will get a branding facelift. New windscreens and banners will be installed, continuing the beautiful branded look of South Campus. On November 18th, a small celebration honoring Booster’s contribution to the Vision 2020 campaign took place with a plaque unveiling. Again, thank you for your support.
Up next, winter sports. Best of luck to our basketball, wrestling and swim teams. Cheer and dance teams, thank you for all the spirit you provide.
