        FIELD HOCKEY RECAP
     VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY
The team had to wait until the state tournament to get its first win of the sea-
son, and when the time came, they were dominant. The Hawks defeated Forsyth Country Day 8-0 before falling to eventual state champion Providence Day in the quarterfinal. We only had an opportunity to play in our conference which has the strongest teams in the state and presented a very challenging schedule. Grace Crutchfield was recognized as All-State and All-Conference. Emma Carter, Audrey Okland, and Katie Sanger also earned All-Conference recognition.
JUNIOR VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY
The Hawks got off to a very strong start going undefeated in the first four games which led to the Hawks being the team to beat in the conference. The Hawks held off very stiff competition and finished the season with a winning record of 4-1-3.
8TH GRADE FIELD HOCKEY
The team boasts two consecutive undefeated seasons. Only one goal was scored on them in two years. They are very skilled, very athletic, very competitive but most importantly, they are a team of players that commit and support each other. They were 5-0 for the season, winning each of those games with a shutout.
7TH GRADE FIELD HOCKEY
Fall of 2020 was not without its challenges for a team of mostly beginners. After rebounding from a tough 0-3 loss to Country Day by beating them 1-0 in our next meeting, the Hawks posted a very impressive 4-1 season.
SENIOR NIGHT FIELD HOCKEY
Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.
