2Harbour plaza Metropolis Hotel Map: 7 Metropolis Drive, Hung Hom, Hong Kong
BREIF:
To re-design a themed room for harbour plaza metropolis hotel in Hong Kong which is situated in the heart of Kowloon, over looking at the spectacular word-famous Victoria Harbour.
PROPOSAL:
It’s pretty much a given fact that we would like to find ourselves on holiday relaxing away from the cacophonous sound of “work.” But before we can get there, we need to get through each day. As hotel rooms can be used by anybody, even people on busniess trips, i wanted to design a room that delivers a relaxing yet sophicated atmostphere to everybody. In order to acheive this, i used natural materials found in trophical island.
In the hope of enhancing the beauty of Kong Hong, what other material is perfect to be selected than bamboo, a Beautiful, eco-friendly and versatile material! In the hope of innovative approach and utilizing it in a stylish manner, i created panelled ceiling using modified bamboo that sets the tone for the rest of the gray concrete themed room. With a open view of the bathroom and visible from the bedroom steals the show.
