hen you meet profesionalism, discovering, history, sun and sea ; it’s hard to not be charmed ! That’s why the Fijet Academy For Young Journalists for 2023, wich took place from 03 to 09 september in Tunisia was a real success.
The visit was so constructive and against all expectations very friendly thanks to the presence of MrTijani HADAD, the president of FIJET but also the former minister of tourism in Tunisia who gived us the chance to hear informations directly from their sources
Our next destination was a true delight ! begining by discovering the smell of the past in the tight old streets of Medina of Tunis. A weird mixture of discretion and generosity calls out from the white walls ...and what a wonderful sensation to see our Turkish former Barbaros trying the traditional tunisian hat « Chachia » and to see all nationalities taking pictures with the ornamented doors of the Medina.
« the last step was signed by reassuring and restoring confidence with all our partners , and our next step is based on diversity in touristic products and basically the sustainable tourism to reach 15 million tourist on 2035. Our goal is to increase the number of tourists, that’s sure ! but also to improve the quality of the touristic spending in Tunisia. » Asserts his honor , the minister of tourism, and adds « Journalists must defend the futur challenges of air transport andTunisia believes that the solution is the Open sky ».
The world loves Fijet
and Fijet Academy loves Tunisia !
And how it can’t be when you gather the best international formers in the world in writing, reporting , thinking sustainability and even diging deeply in your self to know more about your inner power ?! How it can’t be an unforgetable experience when you meet Croatia, Egypt, France, Morocco, Romania, Slovakia, spain and turkey under the same sky and on the same land ...TUNISIA ?! The program of the academy was tied up methodically from the first day to the last one. It began with an official visit to the ministry of tourism, where we met the minister of tourism wich was an occasion to discuss about the tunisian tourism strategy and it’s priorities .

And comes now the great revelation of our journey in Tunisian memory, a project which marked the history of the FIJET in Tunisia wich is the rehabilitation of UTHINA
From the mediterranean architecture, the trip continued to the greece of Tunisia ; « SIDI BOU SAID », the white and blue tunisian village which fascinated all it’s visitors all over the centuries from the punic period to our days, and inspired many artists born there as the international stylist Azzedine Alaia whose residence was transformed into an art gallery.
The signature of SIDI BOU SAID wasn’t it’s colors or it’s streets , it was the nature divinely erected to be an exceptionnel painting who immortalizes your passage . You will be overwhelmed by serenity on seeing the sea from 130 meter of heigh and fulfilled by the tender breeze that caresses your skin...A real joy !
Continuing on the same road of the tunisian mood, we collected memories in the Medina of Hammamet. There, everyone in the group wanted to buy a souvenir item as if everyone wants to have this tether link with Tunisa... forever...
