And year after year the poor ears closed a little more and still a little more, until finally not even the loudest noises could penetrate them.
And yet he worked bravely; writing every beautiful music thought that came to him, so that the world and that means you and all of us, might have them.
In 1826, Beethoven got sick and later developed pneumonia; he died on March 27, 1827. Thousands of people attended his funeral. He was such an amazing composer, it is impossible to imagine the world without his music.

Have you ever heard one of Beethoven“s magnificent symphonies? It is very likely that you have, but you did not know they had been composed by him.
In this activity, you will close your eyes and your teacher will play three different pieces.
After each piece has been played, you will share with the class what you felt, what you imagined, and if you liked it or not and why.
You will do the same activity with the three melodies.
