Monet had an interesting painting technique. if you see one of his paintings up close they can look fuzzy, but if you see them from a distance they look very realistic. one of his largest and most complicated painting projects, and what Monet considered the biggest one in his life, was a series of water lily murals. The paintings are six feet high, and twenty feet long. looking at them, it’s like you are standing in a watery fairy wonderland; you can just feel like you are stepping into Monet’s private garden paradise. it is incredible to think that he was nearly blind during this time and later had to have an operation to restore his sight.
his paintings aren’t just dabs of color on a canvas; they are windows into how Monet saw the world, not as a drab, depressing place, but as it truly is: wonderful, and incredibly beautiful.
