Progressive Forms
Progressive forms of verbs tell about an action that continues over time.
They are made up of a form of the verb be and the present participle of the main verb.
Examples:
Present Progressive
Alice is visiting Mrs. Reed now.
Past Progressive
Alice and Mrs. Reed were talking about the life yesterday.
Future Progressive
Mrs. Reed will be giving a gift to her in Christmas.
Language. Write each sentence using the progressive form that corresponds to the tense of the underlined verb.
1. Alice talks to Mrs. Reed every day.
2. Mrs. Reed told Alice something about her life.
3. The box will contain important objects.
4. Mrs. Reed gave a box with a lot of objects to Alice.
5. Alice finds a bag with gold coins.
