The Four Noble Truths
The truth of suffering (Dukkha). Life includes suffering (pain, old age, sickness and death).

3 The truth of cessation of suffering (Nirodha). This means suffering can end.
The truth of the origin of suffering (Samudaya). Buddha thought the cause of suffering was desire to crave what we donĀ“t have.
The truth of the path to the cessation of suffering (Nirodha). This is the path people should take to achieve the end of suffering.

The Eightfold Path
Right Understanding. It means the understanding of the Four Noble Truths. Right Intention. To resist evil.
Right Speech. Not to harm people with what we say.

4 Right Action. To abstain from doing harm to yourself or others. 5 Right Livelihood. To earn a living in a decent way.
6 Right Effort. Promote good and keep away of evil. 7 Right Mindfulness. To control our evil thoughts
8 Right Concentration. To practice meditation
Buddha spent the rest of his life teaching his philosophy.
