• An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
Tabaqui sat still, rejoicing in the mischief that he had made, and then he said spitefully.
He came naked, by night, alone and very hungry.
He would go down the hillside, and look very curiously at the villagers in their huts.
Adverbs answer the questions how, when, where and to what extent.
