Subject Verb Agreement
The principle behind subject verb agreement means that a singular subject should go with a singular verb and a plural subject should go with a plural verb.
remember the subject will determine the verb.
Verbs are not nouns; you do not add an “s” to form their plural.
for singular verbs you should add an “s” when using a singular noun.
Language. Write the correct form of the verb in parentheses that agrees with the subject.
1. Jim ____________________ at his father. (laugh)
2. Jim _________________ this gentleman to be very rich but rather stingy. (know)
