  Progressive Tenses
Present progressive tense describes an action in the present that it is still happening. The action is in progress.
You form this tense by using the present form of the helping verb be and the –ing form of the verb. am/are/ is + verb + –ing ending
Examples:
She is playing with her golden ball. I am getting the ball for you.
Past progressive tense expresses an ongoing action in the past.
You form this tense by using the past form of the verb be and the –ing form
of the verb.
    was/were + verb + –ing ending I was waiting for you to open the door.
The king was listening to the princess.
Future progressive tense describes an action that is continuing in the future.
You form this tense by using the future form of the verb be and the –ing form
Examples:

will be /shall be + verb + –ing ending The princess will be spending a lot of time with the frog.
