Writing a Narrative Essay
A narrative is a story or account of events; it can be real or fiction. A narrative essay can be based on your own experiences or the experiences of someone else.
Using the writing process you will write a narrative. 1. PREWRITING
Think of an experience that you would like to share. Remember it can be real or fictitious.
Write sentences to describe it.
Add details that help describe what is happening, using as many different
adjectives and adverbs as you can (Descriptive details). Example:
Instead of saying: The lion was chasing me.
You can say: The ferocious lion was fearlessly chasing me.
