3. Verb Tenses
• Verbs: An action verb tells what the subject does.
Simple Present Tense
When the action is happening “now” it is happening in the “present”.
• If we are talking about a singular noun (one person, place, or thing) most
of the time we will add “s” to the verb.

Example: The frog follows the princess everywhere.
singular noun
• If we are talking about a plural noun (more than one person, place, or thing) we will not add “s” to the verb.
no “s” to the verb
Example: The princesses dine with the King and his court.
