read the details you wrote, choose the ones you like best, and write them in your own words. This will be the body of the summary.
Use transition words, these words help to bring two or more ideas together. Some examples are:
remember to end your summary with a strong sentence.
3. EDITING
read your summary, be sure you transmitted the author’s main idea. if you use the author’s words, these have to be properly cited. Remember the text should not have your opinion.
revise your grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. Check for subject and verb agreement.
