Past Tense
a past tense verb tells about an action that happened in the past.
To form the past tense of a verb, add –ed to most of the verbs.
if the verb ends in e, add d.
Change the y to i and add –ed, if the verb ends in a consonant plus y.
Examples: hans headed back home. his master cried for him.
hans received a lump of gold in appreciation for his tough work.
Future Tense
a future tense verb tells about an action that will happen in the future.
To form the future tense of the verb use the helping verb will with the main verb.
Examples: hans will miss his master.
The butcher will keep the cow.
hans will arrive to his home tomorrow.
