3. Contractions
• A contraction is a short way to put two words together. • An apostrophe (´) takes the place of one or more letters.
Examples:
I am= I´m
it is= it´s
she is= she´s
he is= he´s
you are= you´re I have= I´ve
we are= we´re they are= they´re I will= I´ll
It is a beautiful tree. It’s a beautiful tree.
