Writing Workshop. Writing a Fairy Tale.
A Fairy Tale is a short story with magical characters such as fairies, elves, trolls and giants, usually having a moral lesson.
Next, you will write your own fairy tale, one that takes place in the present; it could be an original story or a modern version of your favorite classic.

• First write an introductory sentence. Remember your fairy tale takes place in the present time, you can´t begin with “Once upon a time...”
• Read the sentence several times.
• Write detail sentences that describe the setting, when and where will your
story take place.
Example:
Cinderella set in Paris.
• Be creative! If you are using an old classic fairy tale you can change the per- sonality of the main characters. Maybe Cinderella can be spoiled and mean and the stepsisters nice and pretty.
• Create a magical character and an evil character.
• Think of the obstacles the main character has to face.
• Usually fairy tales teach something; your story has to have a message for the readers, a life lesson.
