33. What do both families realize about their feud? What do they propose to do to make amends?
They feel as if they are being punished for their petty and arrogant behavior and realize that their feud has long been absurd. Lord Montague offers to raise a statue to her of pure gold that, while Verona kept its name, no figure should be so esteemed for its richness and workmanship as that of the true and faithful Juliet, and Lord Capulet in return said that he would raise another statue to Romeo.
