Have you ever visited London?
England is the largest country of the United Kingdom. It is an island in the north west of Europe.
The city of London is the biggest city in the country. It is the capital of England. London is a very old city. Its history goes back to the Romans. Some legends say that it was actually founded before that.
Many different people live in London, they have different races, culture and religion. Many languages are spoken, but the official language is English.

Remember the story you read? The girl talked about a lot of noise in the streets of London, maybe the streets are so noisy because London is one of the largest and more populated cities of Europe.
Do you know there are many countries in Europe where they still have kings and queens? For example in the United Kingdom there is Queen Elizabeth II. She lives in a huge building in London called the Buckingham Palace; she has many palaces but this is her official residence.
