Language. Pronouns
A PRoNoUN is a word that is used instead of one or more nouns. • A PERsoNAL PRoNoUN is a word that takes the place of the person or people
that we are talking about.
There are three types of personal pronouns:
1st person speaking (The person speaking) I, me, my, mine (singular)
We, us, our, ours (plural)
Examples:
I am taking my kids with my mother.
we are enjoying our favorite hobby, watching movies.
2nd person speaking (The person spoken to) You, your, yours (singular and plural)
Examples:
You are a really good soccer player, your parents must be very proud. Are you going to do your homework?
3rd person (The person or thing spoken about) He, him, his, she, her, hers, it, its (singular) They, them, their, theirs (plural)
Examples:
she is a very good student; her grades are the best in the class.
They are planning a trip to England; they will have a wonderful time.
