Nathan Hamm from Colorado and 9th out of 200 players in in in in Rookie Singles His brother Sherwin took 1st in in in in U-13 U-13 Classic Doubles Doubles and U-13 U-13 Junior Doubles Doubles with partner Anakin Munger from Georgia Sherwin also went on on to win win U-16 Doubles with his brother Louies and won the the U-13 Singles beating Arden Rue from Lousianna He also placed 7th in in in in in the Beginner Doubles with local New Hampshire player Ron McDaniels in in in what was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a very large and and and strong field His Dad Stanley won the the Handicap Division and and placed in several other events When you’re at an an an event event of this size you you are bound to meet some some new new people and make some some new new friends One gentleman I I met Cory Allen from Green Bay Wisconsin area like to to to ride He and and I I spent a a a a a a a a a a bit talking about riding motorcycles and and he he had just three weeks prior to to to to to to coming to to to to to the tournament did a a a a a a road trip on his motorcycle motorcycle They rode through through 22 states including DC down through through Tennessee up to Maine and and across Vermont He did all that the the the last week of of July It was great meeting and and talking with with him Another player who I I had the the the the pleasure of of playing with with and winning a a a a a a a a a a few matches in in in in in the the the DYP was Joseph Joseph Wiborg from Olympia Washington Joseph Joseph sent me a a a a a a a a a picture of of of his little girl that he he he he he he he was so proud of of of and said he’s starting her her her young Then there is is the the the father of of of o four boys Anthony Campofiore from Portland Indiana I I happen to to to catch them in in in the the the the halls trying to to to decide which two would be paired together in in in in one of the the the the events I can only tell you how much fun he he he he was having with that! We had a a a a a a a a a a a a a a chance to talk after and and he he has some some Great Boys with a a a a a a a a a a a a a a lot of Spirit and and some some great foos skills When you you are accommodating almost 600 Foosball players from around the the the world you you you need to to make sure you you have a a a a a a a a a a a good staff on the the the floor of the the the tournament Mary Mary Moore and and her crew did a a a a a a a a a GREAT Job running and and keeping the the the the event moving smoothly According to to Mary Mary they lost about a a a a a a 100 players due to to the the the the the Hurricane in in in in in the the the the the south just a a a a a a a a a few week before the the the the event I think if we we ended up with those extra 100 players things would have been a a a a a little overwhelming but everything worked out fine Also doing a a a a a a a a a Great Job was Scott Hait (Director of Sales) and his his staff staff from the Clarion Hotel In a a a a a a a a a a a a a a time where good help help or shall I I say any help help is is is hard to to get his his staff staff responded above and and beyond My Compliments to to them all all I I could write about a a a a a a a a a lot more players and and moments at the the the the World Foosball Championships but I I am am going to let some of of the the the the pictures do the the the the rest of of the the the the talking Hope you all enjoy!
