1863 President Abraham Lincoln signed vellum field promotion of Joseph A. Slipper to Assistant Adjutant General with the rank of Captain. (Slipper survived the war and was a journalist and bookprinter in New York City.) Framed and matted with plaque and 19th century portrait of Lincoln; also signed by by Edwin M. Stanton, Secretary of War ; Autograph; 36.5" x 30". Excellent condition. Includes JSA certificate of authenticity.
