Nowadays, our lifestyle is completely different that decades before, we live in
a world too polluted,
toxicities surrounded us, having daily routines that missing important factors like exercise and healthy diet, vital components
to feed our body with the antioxidants and minerals that we need to keep our body, mind and emotions in optimal health.
Certainly, we can not
control pollution, but toxicity,
exercise and a healthy diet is
our choice! Everything that you
eat will affect your health today, tomorrow and in the future, The Changing American Diet Report Card (2013) said, that fruits and vegetables have barely budged to increase, and we are eating 450 calories more per day than we did in 1970.
Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle, this combined with regular physical activity, will you help to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.
Nevertheless, the land where the farmers are planting fruits and vegetables is already
lacking in nutrients and minerals due the number of times it has been used, but this is not the only problem we are facing, in top of that we have the abuse of the GMO (Genetically modified Organisms) practice for fruits and vegetables.
Numerous health problems have increased after GMOs practices were introduced in 1996. The percentage of Americans with three or more chronic illnesses jumped from 7% to 13% in just 9 years; food allergies skyrocketed, and health disorders such as
autism, reproductive disorders, digestive problems, and others are on the rise.
Although there is not sufficient research to confirm that GMOs are a contributing factor, doctors’ groups such as the AAEM (The American Academy of Environmental Medicine) tell us not to wait to start protecting ourselves, and especially our
children who are most at risk.
To gain and sustain a healthy lifestyle, we must take immediate actions like: maintain a healthy diet focused on reducing the intake of GMO products, exercise regularly and last but not least support our body with optimal supplementation (minerals and antioxidants) in order to protect, nourish and renew our cells. Keep in mind when choosing your supplements to look for products with high standard in manufacturing process (GMP), quality raw materials, ensuring your purity and with
clear specifications on the label.
