Our Home and Nation – Canada 150
It is the perfect chance to appreciate our lives in this beautiful country, and the many advantages Canada provides with security, labor opportunities, respect for others, and of course our multiculturalism. Our variety of cultures, customs, religions, traditions, languages and skill sets allows for us to enjoy the Canadian life in peace and harmony.
Canada is a role model for the rest of the world where success is deeply rooted in the nationwide respect for one another. Everyone is committed, dedicated, caring, hardworking, and compliant with their obligations to society and the environment.
When I arrived in Canada 15 years ago, it shocked me that the career transition training courses taught such basic lessons such as greeting, eye contact, making a resume and more. I was even more taken aback when I was informed that my 15+ years of driving experience were not enough, I would have to take multiple lessons and tests to be granted a licence. Although I recognize all these things can be a bother and seem unnecessary, I understand the success of a standardized system that gives everyone the same basic foundations in order to guarantee that everyone can emerge into a respectful society that respects the norms and laws of the country. There is an endless list of examples like these that show these basic lessons can help guide us to living in peaceful and respectful community, and Canada is all of that. Canada is: respect order and peace.

Nuestra casa – Canada 150 años
Es un momento especial para valorar el vivir en un país hermoso, que nos brinda seguridad, oportunidades laborales, mucha belleza natural y respeto al otro y sus formas de pensar. Tenemos una muestra multicultural con canadienses nacidos en todas las ciudades y países del mundo con credos y religiones diversas, con un increíble abanico de costumbres e idiomas, todos disfrutando vivir en paz y armonía.
Canada es un modelo para el mundo donde el respeto al otro es el eje de éxito de este país. Todos cumplimos, todos cuidamos, todos hacemos y trabajamos, todos tenemos seguridad, todos cumplimos con las obligaciones.
15 años atrás cuando llegue a Canada me mortificaba que los cursos de activación laboral ensenaran cosas tan básicas como aprender a saludar, hacer un “Resume”, aprender a mirar a los ojos etc. El tener que hacer cursos y exámenes de manejo era un insulto en ese momento para una persona que tenía más de 15 años de experiencia conduciendo. Aunque reconozco que esto aún sigue siendo incomodo, lo entiendo como un proceso de estandarización a un sistema donde colocan a todo el mundo con lo mínimo básico ‘set up’ y de esa manejar garantizan que todos nos desempeñemos en la sociedad bajo el principio de respeto y cumplimiento de normas y leyes. Son muchos más los ejemplos, pero estos dos o tres, aunque muy básicos ensenan que se puede vivir en comunidad y paz respetando al otro y haciendo comunidad. Eso es Canada: Tolerancia, respeto, orden y paz.
Aprovecha los múltiples eventos para celebrar la grandeza y belleza de Canada en el verano de este 2017.
