Customer centered strategies.
Business owners are entrepreneurs by nature, they are nimble to adapt, act and execute, even in ever changing environments. They learn as they go, being expert problem solvers, they love what they do and are always thinking how to grow their businesses.
Successful business owners also know their customers or potential clients and they cater their products or services to better satisfy their needs with a value proposition that is superior to competitors. This is what a customer centered strategy is all about. It is not the other way around, it is not about trying to sell your products to people, it’s about knowing (or guessing) what they need or want and provide a product or service for them, better than others.
Business growth is mostly consequence of the combination of the following:
Attracting new customers, retaining current customers, them buying more frequently or using more. This means that everything you do as a business to foster growth will be about thinking on customer choice and behaviour, while making sure you are making a profit doing so. Depending on the type of industry and the stage of development of your business, you may focus your budget and time into one or another. Businesses that avoid spreading their sales or marketing efforts too thin tend to grow more.
For example, the marketing or sales efforts of a newly established business will be focused in finding ways to have potential customers know your business offer and attract them to try

a well stablished business may focus their efforts in maintaining their current base of customers, not only in ways of outstanding customer service, reward or referral programs, but also in adapting their business services in an ever changing competitive world.
Know your customers, cater your products or services, know your competition, know your industry, focus your efforts and have fun.
