The 8 People You Need on Your Startup Team
WORLD & PEOPLE
Chances are, your business will not become extremely successful if you are doing everything by yourself. Every
startup needs a good founding team that can get things done the right way. An entrepreneur needs to find the right workers for their business. If you want your company to succeed, you must find these people for your team:
1. The expert. The expert knows how to get things done. They know the industry you are in, the market for your product, and the competitors you must contend with. The expert is both passionate and knowledgeable and other employees will often look towards them for advice.
2. The developer. If you have an idea for a product, you need someone to transform it from
concept to reality. Usually, this person is well-versed in technical skills and knows their way around coding and technology.
3. The designer. This person understands customers and knows how they will interact with the product. They can optimize the product for the customer's experience to make sure that the customer gets the most out of it.
4. The salesman. Is your product ready to be unveiled to the world? If so, that's great! Now you just need to market it. The salesman knows how to convince others that your company can provide the products or services they are looking for. This person is a marketing expert who can identify niches.
5. The finance guru. How do you know if your next business venture will be profitable? How can you tell which investments are worth it? Your startup needs someone who knows about finances and can make sure that you are spending your money correctly.
6. The doer. Every team needs a dedicated worker (or several dedicated workers) who will follow orders, remain focused, and put their best efforts into any task they take. Ideally, every worker is a doer.
7. The leader. Last but certainly not least, every team requires a leader who can give the team direction. In many cases, it is perfectly acceptable to have multiple leaders who can make decisions together.
8. The Lawyer. someone that can help you understand contracts and advise you how your proposals can be done.
Conclusion
Being an entrepreneur and running a startup is never an easy endeavor. You'll run into all sorts of problems with marketing, HR, and finance. However, the best way to succeed is to start with a solid team of committed individuals who want to watch the company grow.
