 Youth Camps
Babysitting Clinic
This course covers everything you need to know regarding safety, child behavior, fun activities, and babysitter readiness! Learn the proper techniques for emergencies. All materials are provided including information to use at home to make you the most sought after sitter. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with young children during this instructional class. Please bring a doll or large stuffed animal to class. Instructed by Karen Cooper.
Sports Camps
All Star Sports Camp
Calling all youth athletes! Come enjoy your holiday break by playing a variety of sports and learning specific fundamentals. Each day a new sport will be taught and played. The four sports that will be taught are: basketball, baseball/softball, volleyball, and soccer. Please bring a water bottle and lunch each day. Lunch will take place from 11-11:45am.

Youth Track Camp

     Teen Leadership Camp
This track camp introduces youth to the events that make
up the sport of track and field. Instructors will teach the techniques to be able to perform: sprints, hurdles, jumps, and distance running. Participants will learn new techniques and strengthen existing skills.
Teen Leadership Camp will teach skills and techniques
toward developing teens to be awesome leaders, build self-confidence, and empower them to inspire the same in others. During this unique camp we will meet with leaders
in the community, work on fun team-building activities, and most importantly, participate in a variety of community
service projects from start to finish, including developing
flyers and other types of media. Campers will learn life skills
as they volunteer at local food pantries, animal rescue shelters, and other non-for-profit organizations. Community service hours to be used for schools, clubs, and church organizations will be awarded at the end of the camp. Participants must complete an application and have 2 letters of recommendation to enroll in camp. Lunch, snack, t-shirt, back pack, field trips, and swimming will be included. Camp BraveHart
Campers will enjoy field trips, arts and crafts, games, sports, theme days, and much more. Every day will present a new adventure. Included in the fee is bus transportation for all field trips, field trip fees, one summer camp t-shirt, one summer camp book bag, lunch and snack. Early bird discount rates are available for campers who are paid in full by May 15th. A $50 non-refundable deposit can be made to secure a spot in camp. The Joliet Park District’s refund policy will be firmly enforced. CCR&R payments are accepted as well as EFT payment plans. Registration deadline is June 5.

 Counselor in Training Program
The Counselor in Training Program is designed to offer qualified young teens an opportunity to prepare for
positions as camp counselors when they reach the appropriate ages. Emphasis is placed upon developing leadership skills, sensitivity to children, and program skills. Participation in the CIT program is by selection. Those interested in the program must complete an application process, which includes an application, references, and an interview. Only 5 applicants will be accepted. Included in the fee is bus transportation, lunch, field trip fees, one camp t-shirt, and one swim tote bag per summer.
