Be Prepared for Class: Skate rental is available through Ken Woody Sports & More for $2 per use. Ice skates opposed to hockey skates are recommended for beginners but are not required. Double blade skates are not permitted. Learn to Skate class participants should arrive 10-15 minutes before class to put on skates and should wear long sleeves and pants, as well as gloves or mittens. Classes meet in the lobby before going to the ice.
Advancement: For the benefit of all participants,
the level system must be followed and skaters must demonstrate to staff mastery of the skills in each level before advancing. Progress reports will be given to all skaters at the end of each session. Evaluation procedures are implemented as needed and on an individual basis. Skaters transferring from other skate schools will be evaluated by our Skate School staff for proper level placement.
Skate School Registration Policies: Classes with 3 skaters or less may be combined with other levels or cancelled. Refunds can only be given for illness or injury and a doctor’s medical note must be presented. Late registrations may be taken with the approval of the Skating Supervisor.
