Get ready for another successful season! Softball fundamentals will be taught. All athletes must have their own glove. The Special Olympics Illinois Area 7 Tournament is scheduled for July 31 at the Inwood Sports Complex. The state tournament is scheduled for September 10-11 in Decatur. All athletes must have a current Special Olympics medical application to compete and must also attend the district tour- nament to be eligible for state tournament. Participants will learn basic ice skating skills. Skate rental is available for $1 per pair. Skaters should wear long sleeves, pants and gloves. Missed classes can be made up anytime before the end of the session.
You must be able to swim at least one length of the pool to be eligible for swim team.
Special Olympic Illinois Swim Meets are Sat. 2/13 and 3/5 at Stagg High School, Palos. Gold medal winners will advance to Summer Games, 6/10-6/12 in Bloomington. All athletes must attend the district meet to be eligible for state summer games. No class: 1/30, 5/7
