The (not-so) Faraway 5k will have challenges for all levels of participants, and as part of the run3.1 circuit, be assured that there will be plenty of distance to cover! Planned obstacles include a climbing wall, teetering and balance beams, army crawls, agility runs, hurdles, hills, and, of course, the stadium stairs. (Unless Mother Nature plans otherwise, there will be NO water- based or mud obstacles.) Whether you’re an OCR veteran or just starting your fitness journey ... you’re an avid runner or an avid walker ... this race is for you!
Pre-registered runners will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt, and all runners will receive a finisher’s medal. Post-race party will feature breakfast wraps from The Dock at Inwood.
The (not-so) Faraway 5k is the first race in the run3.1 circuit. Register for all three races to receive FREE run3.1 apparel. $40 pre-registration thru April 26; pre-registration closes April 26 at 8a; race day registration is $50.

(1 mile jog or 50-yard dash, ages 3+)
Celebrate 20 years with us! Set on a tree-lined trail through historic Pilcher Park, the Sundowner 5k features an USATF- certified course on pavement and trails.The course was rerouted and repaved in 2017 for an all-new Sundowner experience!
All 5k runners will receive a custom short-sleeve performance shirt and a finisher’s medal. Participants will be treated to a post-race cookout at the pavilion.
The Sundowner 5k is the second race in the run3.1 circuit. Register for all three races to receive FREE run3.1 apparel.
Prior to the Sundowner, kids ages 6-12 can run the 1 Mile Junior Jog, and kids 6 and under can participate in the 50-yard dash. All youth participants will receive a custom t-shirt and medal.
$35 pre-registration thru June 20 at 4p; $40 pre-registration thru July 16 at 4p; race day registration is $50.

Red Eye 5k | Sunday, October 20, 2019 | 7:15a | Program #19-4-4403
Beginning and ending at Joliet Memorial Stadium, the Red Eye 5k is a cross-country style run through and around Inwood Golf Course. Runners will receive a custom hoodie and finisher’s medal, and the post-race party will feature the infamous Red Eye Bloody Marys.
The Red Eye 5k is the third race in the run3.1 circuit. Register for all three races to receive FREE run3.1 apparel. Pre-registration is $35 thru September 23 at 4p; $40 thru October 18 at 4p; race day registration is $50.
