Synergy Competitive Dance, Pom,
and Cheer Team Information
Dance Team classes will be held at Channahon Park District in the Arrowhead Community Recreation Center on Tuesday or Wednesday nights depending on age division. Pom and Cheer will practice at the Joliet Park District in the Kathy Green Multi-Purpose Center on Thursday nights. All competitions are on Saturdays and Sundays. A schedule for all classes will be distributed at the first class. Competition schedules will be distributed as soon as dates and times are confirmed.
Cost includes:
28 weeks of classes: September 2019 – April 2020, costume, and competition entry fees.
Synergy Competitive Cheer
You will learn motions and how to turn those motions into sidelines. You will jump and tumble with some basic stunts. Technique is the name of the game and we will zone in on that as well. No previous experience is needed. Participants will begin to learn cheer basics, such as chants, cheers, jumps, and basic tumbling skills. Participants will perform at competitions and showcases. $120 is due at time of registration; $120 is due December 27.
Purchase of a team warm-up, leotard, and shoes is required
for each participant. Returning team members (if they qualify for the team) may use their warm up jacket from the previous year. Keep in mind, no one is guaranteed a spot on the Synergy Dance, Pom, and Cheer team, even if the individual competed the previous year.
Synergy Park District Competitive
Dance Team
Synergy Park District Dance Crew competes from January
to April in the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference
Drill Team Division. The fall sessions focus on learning dance techniques, routines and group work to develop a teamwork atmosphere. Competition dances will be perfected during this winter session. Team performs in parades and area festivals. The 2019-20 season runs from Octobe 2019 – May 2020. Members are required to be enrolled for the entire season. $120 is due at time of registration; $120 is due December 27.

Synergy Beginner Cheer &
Dance Poms
This is a beginner combo class for both Cheer and Dance Poms. You will learn motions and how to turn those motions into sidelines. You will jump and tumble with some basic stunts. Technique is the name of the game and we will zone in on that as well. No previous experience is needed. Participants will begin to learn cheer & pom basics, such as motions, chants, cheers, jumps, and basic tumbling skills. This program is a stepping stone for preparing to move up to Synergy Competitive Cheer & Dance Pom Team. All students must purchase a $30 recital costume. Child will keep costume after recital.

SYNERGY COMPETITIVE POMS
Learn the basic elements of poms and dance as well as team spirit, through the use of fun and invigorating combinations. Please wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes to class. No jeans allowed. Students will perform in festival, parade, and showcase. Our competition season will begin in January, 2020. $120 is due at time of registration; $120 is due December 27.
